I am a yoga teacher and do not reccomend this. And if you are attending a class the instructor should have discussed this first thing. It goes against you natural flow and will cause you to sometimes bleed more, become dizzy etc... Just leave out the inversions during this time, there are modifications.

In my yoga class, I will refrain from inversions during the first days of my period, because it does interrupt the natural flow.

In the rest of my life, I just proceed as I normally would.

It is perfectly normal and acceptable to perform your everyday routines during your menstrual cycle. The only thing to stop you would be cramps or other minor pain related to the cycle.

Sure it is. You have to eventually turn right-side-up, so you'll be fine.
