A baby changes your life in every way. Some of the things my husband and I did was to get our finance straightened out. I looked into maternity leave at my job, gathered information about Family Medical Leave Act, and saved up my vacation days to lengthen the paid leave I would have. I also picked up extra classes (I worked at a college) so that I could save extra money before I was pregnant. I also got my body prepared to get pregnant. I went to my GYN for a check up, started on prenatal vitamins, and began eating better. I quit caffeine and drinking. When we were ready to start trying we started using ovulation kits to pinpoint my most fertile days. Within a couple of months I was pregnant with my son. Even with the best planning things will come up that you can't control. You need to be flexible and adapt to the changes. Most of all try to keep stress to a minimum as stress can delay conception and cause problems in pregnancy. Relax and enjoy yourself.

I don't think you can plan.. but what they do is the woman stays on the pill until they think they are ready. Or they do some other means of birth control.. or time it so they don't have sex during the time she ovolates. There are a lot of methods.. personally you should just let it happen. We didn't have kids for the first 3 years.. then 2 .. 11months apart.. then one 7 years later then one 10 years later. That was within 14 years of marriage. Would we want them in different times.. maybe but we managed. It's called life :)

Planning an addition to your family typically means that you are using some sort of contraception until you and your husband are in a position to have a healthy baby and give it everything it needs.

For me, personally, planning my family means not having a baby when I can't afford one which means that since I don't currently make enough money, I am using birth control to not have a baby right now.

We ttc for two years with no luck after we were married and kind of stopped, but then were completely surprised to find out after we gave up actively trying that there was a little one on the way, she's so precious we're very happy, so she was planned just took a little longer for her to get here

Well a planned baby just means you both decided to have sex to make a baby. You are at a place in your life were you can afford to give the time and money needed to raise a child.
Best to have sex when you are ovulating - 2 day window of high chance of pregnancy. There are many books on this - just google it.

Unplanned babies are when you have sex for fun and the girl gets pregnant on accident.

It is more of an expression. Planning to have a baby is basically sitting down and saying "Let's have a baby" and than stop using birth control, have lots of sex, and get pregnant.

First decide, " Is this what I really want?" If yes, then go for it! Ask friends or even family members how they planned there future with their newborn. Try baby-sitting for a family member or friend that has a newborn, so you can experience how it is to have a newborn baby.
