Well, my dad was made redundant and my brother who lives with my parents is back on heroin(so we think) and the police are always there, my parents are at their wits end and dont deserve all this unhappiness. And are bringign up his child who is such a good little girl. They are good hard wroking people. I know it isnt all about money. I care not for money, but i wish i could make my parents happy. I dont live at home and dont want to go home, but im going home to help them out and because they want me there. And to make it worse..the heatings not working apparently. :(

Happiness is a voluntary state of mind..
I choose to be happy...
It is your world, make it a happy one...
I do sympathize with your distress ...

oh yes. I will have spent very little...and expect in material terms to receive little.
But I will be involved in serving meals to peopke who would otherwise have been alone. Making someone else's Christmas could well be the making of yours. It may not be too late to find out.
Ring your local Salvation Army or some such group.
Remember also, that whatever your situatioin you are a unique individual....and that makes you special.
(As far as you can) have a great Christmas

Christmas for me is going to be happy.

Unfortunately, it will be tainted by an underlying fear of losing my happiness and the things that I hold dear.

As is the constant state of mind I am in on an almost twenty four seven basis, so much so I wake up at night in cold sweats, shivering like a lost baby.

For us it will be both I hope. My dear MIL passed away two weeks ago, so their will be a missing element in are family this year. So im sure it will be hard. But im hoping to try to keep things upbeat as much as possible, because i know that is what she would have wanted, christmas was her favorite holiday. I bought a few presents that i know she wanted people to have, that she had planned to give them. It will be very hard to keep happy this Christmas for us, and we know that, but we are gonna do our best. And know that she is in the Best place that you could spend christmas and that is with Jesus HImself.

Christmas isn't really about the gifts, though I grant they are nice. But I agree with you that it is more about the people you are with. Mine will be bittersweet. My older daughter and her husband were expecting a baby next April. Last week that baby was born and died. And that will make this Christmas a bit sad.

Christmas need not be about money. Try visit someone worse off than yourself and see if that helps. It could be an elderly person or someone sick. Or even volunteer to help the homeless / destitute on Christmas Day. It can be very uplifting.

I have no place of my own, no money of my own. I live with my daughter and grandson in a new place far away from all the family. My daughter and I don't get along. My grandson will have many gifts from her but not enough love. Material things don't make happiness. Love does and family.

I hope it will be a happy one, though it will be our first Christmas without my gran, so it will be a bit sad.
However, in comparison with some other people around the world, I really can't complain.Merry Christmas everyone!

I am sorry to hear that. Well, one of my close friends died just last week, so things like presents suddenly seems like an insignificance. Be happy that you have your health and your family. Have a peaceful xmas.
