this is actually the manual for a '96 but it's the same as the '94

Open the trunk and look to the left. There should be a cut-out in the fabric on the sidewall with a red button. If it's not there, it is probably under the dash on the passenger side. It's in the trunk in my 94 mercury sable.

i would look in the trunk, under the passenger side footwell or driver side footwell. owners manual may tell you

Lower left side in panel down by your ankle; its red.
