dogs mabe bigger and stronger but i would rather get killed by a dog than a cat

dogs are big and strong but can only bite your leg or privates off
however cats can cling on to you and make sure that they rip your eye out as well as giving you deep wound all over your body.

personally i think cats can be the most vicious
by the way lions are cats too and i'm pretty sure that there is no one from the dog family more vicious or bigger than a lion!
lol

as long as the dog is bigger than the cat at least a 30 lb dog.
the dog would definite win the fight. a lot cats have been killed by dogs. if the cats were bigger size (normally cats weight between 7 to 20 lbs) more dogs and other bigger animals possibly humans would be killed by cats. so cats are nastier fighters.

In the house the Cats win but only because my dogs let them! Its a play fight and never serious.
I always have German Shepherds and they could easily kill a Cat.
Outside most Dogs couldn't catch a Cat but if they do manage to corner one often come of worse in terms of injury. Once a dog finds it isnt prey they back off but If they really meant to kill they would but only if bigger than the cat. Cats have pretty formidable defences and usually more experience of hunting though so I wouldn't bet against them winning!

Some cats are really evil.
My parents had a Persian that totally dominated his territory through fear and intimidation.
Every night out fighting.
The dogs were all scared of him.
You just didn't mess with this cat, period.

If the dog was large and quick enough, like a doberman or pit bull the cat would stand no chance.

More than likely they would both end up pretty beaten up. It all depends on the nature of the animal...how it was raised.

A more aggressive dog would easily kill a cat, but a feral cat would more that likely put some nasty wounds on a dog if it felt threatened.

Cats and Dogs have personalities, so there is really no telling which is nastier.
If they were in a fight, the dog would probably win. After all, they are MUCH bigger.

The Dog but chances are the cat will not be harmed due to the fact that they are smart and run away to safety when in danger.

Yes. Dogs are a bit thick, and act completely on instinct and/or vis a vis their training and commands. A bit like a soldier.

Cats however are imbued with the intelligence to be malicious and calculating quite deliberately. A bit like a prime minister.

If they were matched in size, I'd back the cat every time.
But most dogs are big enough to just shrug a cat off.
