This is a tough question to answer without actually seeing the babies lump. If the lump is pea sized and you can move it around even a little bit then it could just be a swollen lymph node or gland, which has no meaning if it doesnt seem to bother the baby. Some babies can have odd shaped heads also by how their skulls form. If I were you and you didn't like your doctors answer than I would get a second opinion, this is your baby and you need to feel comfortable about it.

How is he in himself? Does he have a temperature? the different ingredient they may be are sebaceous cysts. those are blocked sweat glands that fill with sebum and sweat and that they have a tiny hollow in the middle. techniques you, he's slightly youthful for those yet you on no account understand. different lumps that take place in the midline (because it relatively is the place the floor fuses by using fact the toddler develops in the womb) are dermoid cysts. In a newborn of his age, in spite of they are they are going to easily approximately particularly be possibility unfastened so attempt to no longer hardship. Make an appointment consisting of your GP to get them appeared at because it relatively is going to placed your techniques at relax. in case you think of he's ill as nicely to the lumps then get him appeared at faster. good luck.

my 10 month old also had a lump on his head. after his dr sent us to a childrens hospital to have to checked it was decided that it was a cavernous hemangioma. A hemangioma is basically a birthmark...the pink marks lots of babies have on their necks.
The reason my son had one was because I had a rapid delivery. I pushed him out in 1 push...so there was some trauma which cause the hemangioma. If your truly worried about it ask your doctor for a referral or get a second opinion. Remember your doctor works for YOU!

My son had a bony lump on his head, but nobody has a head that is perfectly symmetical.
However if the little voice inside you tells you something is wrong, get a second, third, or fourth opinion until you fell that he is ok.
