Does no one remember the theme tune to the childrens programme in the late 70's early 80's?

Time flys by when your the driver of the a train
When your riding on the foot plate there and back again
Under bridges over bridges and to our destination
Waving at all the people standing at the station!

I think that was Chigley.
I seem to remember the butler taking about twenty minutes to walk from the telephone to the drawing room and we'd follow him all the way.

Aaah, those hazy, halcyon, black and white memories of a bygone era.

35 years ago I drove underground trains on the Northern Line and the Circle Line. It was great. I only stopped doing it because I decided to go to university and became a teacher. I've left that now and do other work but I would love to drive on the Tube again!

It's probably a really boring job, so I'm gonna say no. Life inside the train doesn't go as fast.

And they were all stop-motion figures, so they must have been bored rigid when their 'action' was played out.
I doubt the time flew by for them.
