sound like it could be a sign of your period starting. that's how it started with me, i was 10 when i first started mine and i'm now 13 (almost 14). the best way i think to find a brand of pads or tampons is just try a few different ones and see which one feels the most comfortable. i use kotex or tampax. i know it seems really scary at first, but it's a great thing! it shows your not a little kid anymore and are starting to become a woman! congrats!!

Your are probably getting your period. You should try and tell your father that you need to go to the store and pick up some woman items. You are probably getting cramps. Walking, exercise, hot baths, heating pads, and advil are good for cramps. For the first year or so you should use pads. Try Always Ultra Thins. Remember to change your pads every few hours so you don't leak and get blood on your clothing. if that happens wash your clothes in cold water. Hot water will set the stain so use cold! Buy some pads and pantyliners which are good for a couple days after your period ends. Bring a purse to school with supplies so you can change your pad and you might want a spare pair of pants in your locker in case you need them. As for tampons if you decide to use them, try a junior size and remember to change them every 3-4 hours so you don't get toxic shock syndrome. Never leave tampons in overnight. Use pads at night. Also with tampons use the lowest absorbancy you need. I hope I helped.

Oh sweetheart, don't be scared, it's perfectly normal. It could well be your period starting. Personally I have never used tampons (i'm 42 and have 2 children). the thought of inserting one is not pleasant for me, though lots of people find them very sucessful. Depends what country you are in but I like the Always pads, they seem to be very absorbent and comfortable. But it depends, everybody's different, don't be afraid to try different types until you find out what works for you.
You are obviously sensitive to your dad's feelings. Guys sometimes feel uncomfortable talking about periods. But you dad must have anticipated this happening. He's probably a bit worried about what's going to happen and whether he will cope with it to. Talking to him about it. You could also talk to a teacher maybe or any other adult female who you are close to. We've all been there, it's really not embarrassing. You could even ask in the chemist where you buy the pads, if there is a lady assistant, she'll be happy to help.
Congratulations on taking your first step to becoming a woman.

It probably is your period. Don't be scared. It can be normal for it to start out very light. I like Always pads. My daughter is 14 and very small and they have a slender pad that works well for her. She doesn't use tampons yet, but they do make a junior tampon that is really good to start with. Try going to Tampax.com. They have a good website. Your period may be irregular for a while, don't worry about it that is normal. I hope you will wait a long while before you become sexually active, but do know that you can get pregnant the first time, so please use protection if you do become sexually active. You can always go talk to your school nurse if you have questions you aren't comfortable asking your dad, and she should have some pads, etc. in her office. Good luck sweetie!

Don't be scared I know it is scary at first. You are having a discharge plus stomach cramps it will not be long before you actually start. Always is the best pad to use do not use tampons for the first yr. Talk to your Dad he will understand he does know about these things and you will need his help. Someone will have to go and buy the things you need. Take Tylenol for the pain. Good Luck!

Don't be scared sweetie. It is very natural. I didn't tell my parents for a very long time because I didn't want to talk about it with them. I have always used Always regular. Tampons scare me but many women use them. Your period will probably take a little while to get regulated, so keep products on hand. Also just take some Advil or Tylenol for the cramping. You're a woman now, congrats! and good luck!

the brown spots is discharge. It's like a sign that your period is coming in a few hours. Its basically like telling you to get ready lol. The stomach pain means the same thing. the best pads are always. The best websites that willhelp you deal with this are www.cosmogirl.com, www.beinggirl.com, www.seventeen.com. There are magazines you could buy that can help you with this too, like teen magazine, cosmo girl... etc... Good Luck!!!

it might be, and the best pad is one you feel comfortable wearing. there are instructions on the box as to how to wear it. as this is your first possible period, i would go ahead and buy some small panty liners and some larger pads, you never really know how it could be from one day to the next at your age. and go ahead and tell your dad. it won't kill either of you, i promise. congrats!
