Every day there are new reports about someone in the eye of the media saying something that is concidered rascist, but there are songs out on the radio taking about bi*ches, killing people, and also have rascal slurs. But when someone slips up and says something even that could be considered remotly rascist it creates a huge uproar. I just dosnt make sence!!!

You're right on. It's because race rights are a fad cause and degrading women and violence are just acceptable and apparently desirable qualities. We like to focus on things that aren't really damaging because we don't think we can actually do anything about those things that are truly harming people. I'm not saying that racism is ok, but it is something that we can learn to just let bounce, especially in cases where the speaker's intent was humor. Bad judgement isn't a capital offense. Violence is seriously harmful.

I've often wondered that myself. Gods forbid someone use the "N word" but the "C word" is just peachy. It's a double standard that should not be tolerated. If enough women blew hissies the way the black community blows hissies, it would stop. Eventually. Maybe not completely, as the use of degrading words towards blacks, asians and hispanics did not, but it would become socially unacceptable. It obviously isn't unacceptable right now.

It's all "media hype", and it is Not the way most of us feel. The "media" needs "fodder" to attract its audiences. Why do you think there are so many shows about "Celebrates"? All these reality shows, cooking shows, because they create an "audience", and without an audience they couldn't sell their products, there would be no advertisers, and the stations couldn't broadcast. So you see, it's All a vicious circle, so don't get caught up in it, I never have. Merry Christmas.

I could care less if someone called me a racial slur . The only way it could affect me is if I actually believed it. then I'd be pissed. I think if women get degragded that sure, we dont' agree to it, but how are women being degraded? or maybe I'm too desensitized to realize this?

I totally agree. Its like illegal and stuff to say something against someones heritage, but people discriminate thers all the time about silly things, like "you play like a girl" and other stuff that just don't help the situation.

Watch a movie. They'll call a woman a bit.ch and who.re and rape her full force but they'll never call a black man a ****.er or a chinese man a Chink or a Jew a Kike even though men who kill usually aren't verbally PC.
