Keep the area clean, and dry. Then go over the area with witch hazel. It's drying effect lasts much longer that alcohol. It's kept mine at bay for years now, just doing that. The area for me is the top part of my legs.

where is the rash... it might just be a mole, if it is a mole, or a body mark, it may be raised, just let it be... if it does not bother you, just keep an eye on it, in case it does, maybe go to dermatologist...
