When we have our big Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo here in town, they actually have the SPCA there on hand to make sure the animals are properly taken care of. It's the same with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum Bailey Circus.

They take care of the animals very well. And yes, it's good entertainment. If Rodeos were cruel to animals they wouldn't still be around.

I think that it is animal abuse when it's used for entertainment. These are animals that need to roam in the fields, etc. I went to a few rodeos, and I just couldn't handle it. So very sad. Here these people are laughing drinking and having a good time. Is the animal (s) having a good time? So, so very sad.

It can be both. The world is cruel and people should accept it. If you object to it don't go to see it. It is a tradition in some places. Animals can be cruel too.

The things that I think are cruel is the calf roping and the steer wrestling. I still enjoy watching it though. Especially the Bull Riding.

cruel to animals. and people who are cruel to animals should have their finger and toe nails slowly ripped off of them, and then scalded with hot water all over their entire body. THEN made to stay in a tanning bed for 10 days straight w/ no water or food. AND THEN if they are still alive they are to be pushed in to the middle of that road in Germany that has no speed limit. If still alive, they will have steak tied to there naked body and thrown in to a pond w/ gators. THen, if still alive they will be thrown in to the middle of the ocean wearing nothing but mardi gras beads.

I find them disturbing and cruel. Ditto on circus's. I think it's wrong to cage and torment animals purely for the entertaiment of humans. The humans are willing participants. The animals are not.
