No, you can only notarize within the State where you are licensed. Generally, you must be a resident of the state where you are licensed. However, you may be able to obtain non-resident licensing from another state, if you regularly work within the other state, but live in Florida.

Check the state's attorney general or secretary of state's website for details, or contact an attorney in your area.

If a person from another state signs a document in Florida it should be no problem for a Florida notary to notarize it in Florida. But, a notary should not notarize a signature that takes place outside of the state that issued his/her notary commission. I believe this applies in Florida, as in most states. However, for absolute assurance check with Florida Secretary of State.

You can notarize documents from people from different states, but only if you are notarizing the documents in Florida.

in case you and the notary are interior the comparable state for which he has his notary license, then he can notarize something you carry to him/her .... although that's not the activity of the notary to certify the legality or validity of the record; he will in basic terms certify which you are the guy who extra the record.

Check the laws in your state. If the document involves a state resident and was created in the state I think you can.
