Whoever says that Shaq is the best, hasn't watched him play in atleast 2 years. The fact that Shaq is getting old, slowing down, losing power, oh AND THE FACT THAT HE'S ONLY PLAYED LIKE 5 GAMES IN THE SEASON is the reason why he's not the best center and isn't even close to being the best center. Compare the stats of the 5 players I listed above to Shaq's current season stats and you'll know what I'm talking about. Shaq was good. . .like 2 years ago but it's time you all start admitting to yourself that his days in the NBA are numbered and that he's not the powerhouse he was when he was young. The younger centers in the league are taking over.

You guys must not no basketball. Yao Ming is the best center in the league. He is averaging 26 points a game 10 rebounds 2 blocks and he shoots 86% from the free throw line, Also 52% from the field. Name me a center in the past 5 years who have put up numbers like that. All around including Free throw%. And you can talk about rings all you want but shaq had good teams all those years. Better then Yao's plus Shaq has more years on him.
Is Shaq even playing? He's hurt lol! Its no comparison right now; maybe years ago

Yao Ming is by far the best center in the league currently. Shaq is good in spurts when he is interested but his best days are past. Greg Oden will likely be the best center whenever he chooses to go to the NBA.

shaq may not be in the nba for long.. he's having lots of injuries which is hard for him because of his weight.. i don't like how shaq plays cause all he uses is his strength.. for now yao is the best.. he's racking up points every game unlike before.. he's becoming a better player each year.. good for him cause he doesn't show that he's not just tall, he's good

Wilt Chamberlain. he's definitely is the best center in the league. his stats in the game is superb. he is the best center in the NBA of All-Time.
