Trying to get some feedback. There's this guy who likes me alot. The problem is: He's the brother of my cousins husband. My cousin married this guy and this guy has a younger brother. He's 26 and I'm 28. He knows I've never dated before nor have I ever been in a relationship with anyone. I recently told him my age yet he continues to like me; which I'm happy about The other problem is: is he in a way my cousin? I never thought about it until my friend brought it up and told me that he's my cousin indireclty since his brother married my cousin. Is that true? I need advice as to what am I suppose to do. He likes me alot and he shows it by texting me everyday and calling me to see how I'm doing. He also stated that he really likes me and won't do anything to hurt me in any way. He says he'll be patient until I'm ready to date. What should I do? By the way, any X-mas gift suggestions for him regarding this type of situation? I don't want to go over nor go less. Thank you everyone :)

From what you have written, if there was any DNA testing done, you wouldn't be blood related at all. Age shouldn't be a problem either. There are scores of older women who have married younger men, especially if you search out older Hollywood stars like Liz Taylor, the Gabor sisters, etc. There is nothing anywhere written into law that the wife cannot be older than her husband. I think though that you should proceed with caution and not rush into anything. Love is patient and kind and seeks not its own way at the expense of others. True love is such that it would gladly give its own life to save the life of another. If you both can develop this kind of love, then your relationship will last your lifetimes, which is what marriage is supposed to do.
