if you were really in love with your wife like when you first met her you would pick her up .... I think you would even wait an hour just to see her if you had to ...... I say pick her up and have some flowers in the car for her too.

I'm sorry...whose wife are you picking up? "The" could mean anyone's wife, if she is your wife shouldn't you say so ("my" wife)?
If she IS your wife, of course you should pick her up! What a great surprise and sweet way to tell her you care.
If she isn't your wife, I'd steer clear of that situation. Most men don't appreciate other men picking up their wives. ; )

You should not be contemplating this unless there was a reason you would not be able to pick her up. I am sure she would rather ride home with you than be stuck with people she didn't know.
