While I usually have a strict "real flowers only" rule in my house, I am interested in some fake greenery to fill the space at the top of my kitchen cabinets. Any ideas? I'd rather not spend a fortune. I know I can probably find something at Michael's, but am interested in other suggestions.

Like you I have a policy of real only...However my new home does not have much light in the family room/home theatre. This is a very large room and silk plants from Michaels or Hobby Lobby would have cost me a small fortune. I ended up with 3, 8 foot trees, several medium sized silks and a lot of smaller silks in baskets for less than a $100 by buying them at yard sales and flea markets. If they are dusty just rinse them off in the bathtub, let them dry and reshape them to your desire.

I was going to suggest Michaels. Is there a reason why you don't want to go there? They have a decent selection and not outrageous prices.
