Funny thing, the whole thing about people being offended is made up. Very few non-christian would be upset, more jack christians would be likely to make a big deal out of it.

I don't understand why people get offended. I studied Islam and didn't celebrate Christmas for 10 years until I had my son. I then decided that it would be more hurtful to not to not let him participate in the Holiday festivities than not.
People need to understand that it Merry Christmas is a "greeting". The Christmas season is such a happy and exciting time. I think it doesn't matter whether you look at it from a religious prospective or not, just enjoy this jolly time of year. For some people its the only time that they are generous and happy.

I would not, I would say it back to you too. The whole deal here is, that many people don't believe or celebrate Christmas, they feel that because they don't, then the phrase Merry Christmas shouldn't be posted all over town by those who believe in it. It's ridiculous.

Well not everyone is Christian and doesn't celeberate Christmas so it's not politically correct to say it. Like at my job we are not allowed to say Merry Christmas, we have to say Happy holidays. And I've at least 10 customers have already told me it's Merry Christmas not Happy Holidays.

I think that most people in America celebrate Chrismast in the USA and if you do say Merry Christmas If you celebrate Hannachah say Happy Hanachah. Kwanza say Happy Kwanza. If you don't celebrate any thing don't say anything.

We'll, it's not like we all wear a sign around our necks so people know what religion we are! Anyone who is graceful would see that you are just expressing a joyful, heartfelt greeting toward the person. And if they aren't Christian, they should reply "Thank you, and Happy Hanukkah to you!" or whatever greeting is appropriate to them.
Oh, and Merry Christmas to you too!

Nobody gets more bent out of shape then christians about this matter actually. Christian folks are the ones that made such a fuss about stores saying Happy Holidays.
I agree with the person above you said that this being offended stuff is made up. Nobody was offended except people like you.
