The best one is the one you build yourself.
Oh, and ignore everyone telling you to buy a dell.
People. you get tech support and warranty on ALL the parts you put in a homebuilt. Come on dellboys, tell the truth.

I like my dell, but the first two guys are right, building your own would be ALOT cheaper. Im just too computer illiterate to build my own. If your credit is good and you can get a better APR from Dell than youd be alright. Mine was pooey at the time so I had like 15%. If I had to do it all over, Id find a buddy of mine that knew what the f*ck he was doin and built my own and saved a few $$.

I have bought several Dells for myself, mom, dad, and daughters, and all are still working after 10 years.
I recently built my own, and it is as good if not better than the Dells and probably cost about $300 less including the 19" flat panel screen.

Nowmicro.com
They rock, small company with actual service. Dell is my second choice but they are more of the walmart of computers so I like to give Now my business, I think they will match bestbuy prices too.

You have to build your computer:

HDD(hard disc drive): 200GB or HIgher
Monitor: LG flatron or Samsung
Keyboard-Mouse: Microsoft(avoid the wireless)

I have two Dells. By watching for ads and specials, I got them both on really good deals, with free shipping, everything loaded and ready to go, plus support and warranty.
You might save a few dollars by building your own, but is is worth it to have no support or warranty?
Your choice.

Dell. Their warranty service is great but home builds have no warranty at all.
