You can answer them: "These things are personal and I would rather not discuss about them. Thank you very much for your understanding!" If they insist you can answer them politely that you have already discussed about this subject and that you would like to chanhe the subject.

Truthful/direct answer: "That is no ones business but my own".
Evasive/gentler answer: "I am prohibited from discussing the details under the terms of the settlement"

Tell them your private life is just that its private and its none of their business. Sorry. I had a settlement after my fathers death no one ever asked me about the money.... Good luck.

Just tell them "not enough to lend you any," and they will usually go away. You can also tell them you recieved a Nunnaya Settlement. When they ask what that is tell them its Nunnaya business.
