My mum is in her 40's and I don't know what to get her for Christmas. She's not fond of bath type stuff, and im not so good at finding he a gift she'd like. Shes not into pampering and stuff and I'm no good at shopping for clothes for other people. Do you have any suggestions? I want to spend between £10 and £30.

I have bought my mum tickets for the eden project in cornwall as she loves plants & has been wanting to go for a while so it will be a nice surprise.
Maybe get your mum tickets for something you think she may enjoy, ie a theatre show or an event in your local area.
Or how about a gift voucher for a spa treatment. She would probably appreciate a day out where you can both spend time together. I know my mum does!!!!!!

Howabout gift vouchers at HMV so she can buy some music. Or maybe gift vouchers at Marks and Sparks? Most mums love Marks and Sparks.
Or a nice scenteed candle? They usually have them at department stores and Space NK shops.

From reading a Christmas shopping book 20 million times through, I think your mum would like either chocolates or somthing to go in the house like a picture frame or cushion! :D

Mine's getting a new mobile phone. Other years I've gotten tickets to a show or a gift certificate for a dinner out. She always complains that we don't spend enough time together, and those presents have it built in (because obviously she takes me :p).

DVD movies, maybe older ones; something for her car, if she drives. My mum loved all sorts of things, and without knowing what your mum likes it is really hard to suggest... Books were also a winner with my mum.
Books, candy, new anything, really!

Does she like perfume? Kenzo Amour is REALLY nice and so is Armani Code. Or maybe you could buy her a magazine subscription for a year!? That would cost between £20 and £30 so go for it! Hope you get something you like! Good Luck xx

How about a trip out to somewhere she'd like, at a later date.
Perhaps a ticket to the theatre or a show.

Being able to play the harp again. I've been very ill with chronic Arthritis since the start of October, so I've not been able to play, and my harp is my life. I'm on the mend now, so on xmas day I'll try and play again :) That would be my ideal prezzie :)

Does she have any hobbies? Maybe you could get her an assortment of different sized knitting needles. We got my Mom a pair of every size. She loved it.

Clothes, get a sweater that you'd consider for yourself. Or, some nice jammies and robe.

Candles are always a good bet.

George Michael Twenty Five DVD and CD you can get both from HMV for less that £30, she probably remembers his music well and would love to re-live those days.
