You are right! Nice to hear a man speaking up for women! Thank you! As a long time feminist, I am well aware of this. The number of women and girls that get sexually abused and raped is astounding! In my life time, I'm a bit older, rape was considered okay by many, though it has always been illegal. I heard several men I knew say something to the effect that, "some guys are like that." ???? So they condoned it even if they didn't do it. It has only been in the last 30 years that mainstream society has stopped protecting this behavior AND (most importantly) stopped blaming women for it as well! Women have been blamed for it even though they are almost always an innocent victim.
But as you say, these types of bs t r d s are cowards. They look for victims that they think are most vulnerable...you know the look is still encouraged unfortunately, a helpless "pouty" look. Instead women must learn to "grow up" become more independent and then develop a "strength" about them. (Unfortunately "hollywood movies" and TV programs still encourage this look of vulnerability. We must all learn to stop modeling our lives according to Hollywood Movies and TV programs.) These cowards will then be much less likely to attack them. However there are some who will attack strong women as well. Unfortunately many people still raise their little girls to act like helpless victims who need to have a man to get by. Lets educate them all shall we? And as for those perpetrators. Beware! The message that you are really cowards underneath is out. We will and are defeating you!
Thanks again.

I learned a bunch of moves that prevents me from being raped.
I never go anywhere without my dog (she is little, and she is cute, but she'll chew your ankles off)
And I have a permit to carry a knife on me at all times, plus two little pocket knives that are legal in all states and are just big enough to gouge an eye out or slice open a main artery.
I am not stupid.
I know there are creeps out there.
I travel alone alot and I do protect myself.
But thank you for this, because there are a lot of nieve women out there that do not.

The reason why "women", children, and young girls don't 'wake-up' to this epidemic could be attributed to the same reason why you've just discovered this ordeal recently on TV: IGNORANCE. Women, girls, and children have been raped for millenia all across the planet. It didn't start yesterday and it certainly isn't a 'new' crisis.
That's not to say that the victims are ignorant or that the culprits are strictly to blame; however, it is foolish to conceive that it is strictly up to each individual 'victim' to address the problem when it is a social, familial, and legal responsibility.
Take for example a young girl. Is it not the father and mother's duty to educate the young girl of the dangers of talking to strangers? and being unsupervised? or to monitor her so that her uncle might not take advantage of her? But what if it is the father who is the 'perp'?
What does the mother do if he is the sole provider and threatens her with violence?
If you read case studies you'll come to understand that both in America and especially outside of the US, there is little protection to be found in the law de facto.
The problem is more universal than you think--and even more heinous. It is still good of you to have recognized it while so many drift through their lives without a clue and then never educate their children of the dangers--leaving them to become potential victims. Thus, it is up to you to make sure you can do what you can with you daughters, sisters, cousins, or female friends if you have any--in order to make sure they are prepared to defend themselves and to be prudent.
FACTS:
In 2004-2005, there were an average annual 200,780 victims of rape, attempted rape or sexual assault.
About 44% of rape victims are under age 18, and 80% are under age 30.

The World Health Organization estimates more than 200 million children are sexually abused worldwide every year. The report was compiled by the UN's commission for Asia and the Pacific, its children's fund UNICEF and the organization ECPAT International, which stands ``End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes.''
-----------------------------
Child sexual abuse remains stubbornly resistant to change in sub-Saharan Africa; child advocates say perpetrators are shielded by traditionally low status of girls, lingering view that sexual abuse should be dealt with privately, and justice systems that constitute obstacle courses for victims; data is sparse and sexual violence is notoriously underreported; but sweep of child victimization is evident in South African police reports of more than 22,000 cases of child rape in year ending in March 2005; World Health Organization survey finds highest incidence of child sexual abuse in Namibia, where more than one in five women report being sexually abused before age 15; relatives are frequent perpetrators in Africa and elsewhere, but in Africa children face added risks from male teachers or classmates;

I completely agree, too may women often put themselves in compromising positions because they are too nice, however you cant generalize that being a victim of sexual abuse has to do with a woman NOT being smart, a lot of times they are victims to their own families and other ppl they trust. Your IQ has no longer something to do consisting of your sexual orientation, besides the very incontrovertible fact that i understand that i'm tremendously damn clever. My IQ is a hundred forty five. ^_^ so as that makes me a lesbian AND a criminal genius. i'm in simple terms magnificent like that. i understand that may not what you're asking, nonetheless. besides the very incontrovertible fact that it has no longer something to do with sexual selection, if one orientation is commonly smarter than the different, it may must be completely coincidental. And so a strategies as i understand, there are no valid statistics. So... this question has no answer. (yet, besides.) Sorry! :] yet here is my view. in case you desire to verify it in terms of numbers, and numbers on my own, there are extra clever without delay human beings than clever gay human beings (in simple terms by using fact without delay human beings make up the final public of the inhabitants). i do no longer see this as honest in any respect, nonetheless, once you're seeking to evaluate. in terms of possibilities in each and each seperate team (in assessment objectively), i'm relatively specific that the statistics are appropriate to the comparable. (back, any difference could must be completely coincidental.) some human beings indexed decrease than are making the argument that gay anybody is extra open-minded, and hence smarter. whilst it relatively is commonly actual, open-mindedness and intelligence are relatively multiple issues. living with an open-minded view is an outstanding thank you to stay, yet no longer all open-minded anybody is clever. i understand a good number of stupid people who're very accepting of all issues diverse, and a few relatively intelligent people who're small-minded. And back, it relatively is in simple terms my view on the priority. you do no longer ought to stay with it to a T. i desire this makes a minimum of actually of expertise. ^_^"

i'm glad you think that women should have to not only have the babies but also parent them like fathers and men shouldn't have any of the responsbility to how the children grow up or that it's their fault because the woman makes it to easy to catch- say in the middle of the day getting in their cars. yeah i agree we're just asking for it.

What's funny is you probably thought everyone would applaud you and think you were a great guy, but here's a little hint: don't repeatedly call people stupid if you want a good response!
