We might be wondering if moral good and evil could exist at all if God did not exist

Survival Ethic
If human morality is merely a result of the need to survive, nothing is good or evil in any objective sense. There is only a moral sense, a feeling that certain acts are good or evil, which is a far different thing from them actually being good or evil.

A universe without God in which we humans are nothing more than accidental byproducts of nature, beings who have evolved relatively recently in a hostile and irrational universe and who are destined to perish in a short time. Given that scenario, it is hard to see why it matters whether or not we ever existed.
Lastly:
The concept of objective morality loses all meaning in a universe devoid of God. Only in a universe created by a loving, moral God can there be real truth and morality.

A very good question. Romans 1-19/20,states that all things from creation have been shown all there is to know of God, even unto the eternal power and Godhead. This is the root of what most call "faith", Faith is Knowing though not yet seen,All things know that "God dwells within you as you". Yes, this is why the search is universal. all seeking is but trying to awaken to this inner reality. All things of God are "GOOD", "WHOLE", UNCONDITIONAL LOVE". all perceived negativity is Illusion, created by the minds concepts of duality. The absence of God. When we believe we are separate from God we live on a level of "Sin" or Karma,Actions,in thought word and deed create your life circumstances, seen as positive or negative, emotions divided . Rise to level of spirit, then fulfill "the law of cause & effect" ,Have unity with God in unconditional love within your heart, doing Gods will,Dharma. Negative thought & circumstance cease to exist for such a one. All things are Good.,all things are GOD.

With no offense to you or others, and not to get into the diatribe, but answer specifically the Q, I have to say, sadly that "Morality" isn't Universal, but very much a personal issue.

It's also an issue defined by who "Judges" it.

Example: An Aetheist need not be viewed as being immoral, simply because of a lack of revering a GOD.

Beyond that, and with regard to Morality being personal, what is for some, may not seem so to others, in a general sense. Certainly taking the life of another may be viewed globally as immoral, and perhaps should be.

Aaaaaaaah! I like a trick question.

God did not create moral values...religion did.

This was the whole point of creating a God and a religion.
To give man some moral values.
Read your history on the Hebrews and it will tell you that it was the debaucherie between men and women which created the need for a God.
So they wrote the old testament with its laws on moral values.

It was religion which created civilisation as we know it today.
Religion governed the whole of Europe for 1000 years after the fall of the Roman Empire.

one million. Agree, Christians who drag you down are probably projecting their very own insecurities. yet all insecure human beings do this, not in basic terms insecure Christians. 2. Christians who call atheists depressing, for sure have not examine the Bible properly, and are improperly making use of the life and non secular concepts of Jesus Christ. Sorry you had to hearken to that style of crap from Christians. it extremely is for sure not what Jesus taught. i might propose analyzing the Bible for your self to make sure. start up ordinary like with one million Corintians 13, the full financial disaster. Then try the e book of Mark and look at for your self what Jesus teaches and how many Christians are making use of it incorrect. Then examine the purpose pushed life by Rick Warren to get an ordinary thought of the thank you to stay the Christian life. i'm not the suitable Christian, yet I save attempting. i'm nevertheless a paintings in progression. If human beings can save themselves, then why can we proceed to jot down extra rules that administration habit? Why is it extra risky to allow babies to stroll to the park by themselves? Why can we grow to be extra numb to violence and evil, instead of being appalled by it? Why can we advise to ladies to not jog on my own at night or in distant places? Why are we writing extra rules to control the inventory marketplace? What can we choose rules that require human beings to placed on seat belts? Why are there cigarette butts and beer cans alongside the edge of each highway and trekking trails? Why can we choose a regulation requiring human beings to not textual content fabric whilst they force? If human beings have become extra suitable, then our regulation books could be getting smaller. life gets extra costly because of the fact extra human beings have become grasping. particular, there are wallet of peace. life is stable at circumstances. yet what happens while issues bypass undesirable? the place do you place your desire? A statue like the pharoah? Or the residing God? Eh, sounded slightly extra non secular than i wanted, yet do not prefer to delete any of this. desire it extremely is clever.
