If u believe in some religion Ur God only knows this and only similarity with Muslim names can not make a person Muslim. However, the peoples needs to be adjudged on the qualities of leadership irrespective of their religion. Many US soldiers are Muslims so what?

Actually, no we don´t.
If religion is the sole reason for voting for a politician, that is just sad. I couldn´t care less if the person running for President is Protestant, Catholic, Jewish or even yes Muslim.
So long as he or she would serve in the best interests of the country and not in their own selfserving agenda, it doesn´t matter.

Why? What difference would it make if he was one? A lot of people on this planet are Muslim, some are good, some are not, just like anyone else.

For the record, his grandfather was Muslim, hence the name 'Hussein', but he is Christian.

No, he's not. But his father might be.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...well, not to most people. But if his family left the Muslim faith that's considered worse than an infidel by radical Muslims and he might actually be targeted for violence.

No he is not. But, out of curiosity, why do we need to know this? Are we now basing our votes as well as passing our laws based on relgious belief and affiliation? Is the constitution just becoming a relic for us now?
