no, you have to earn a good name. when you are really good, your fellow musicians will give you a cool name, you dont get to pick your own.

A "stage-name", "moniker", or "nickname" is something you earn, not just make it up yourself. Other musicians and fans will give you a moniker based on your trademark, something that is unique about you.

For example, Sting got his name from wearing a black and yellow striped sweater to a gig with The Phoenix Jazzmen. I know he's not a blues musician, but you get the idea.
