For the last few days I have been having nausea. Everytime I eat I feel like I might vomit and I have a constant feeling of a lump in my throat, making me gag. Any suggestions?

Just like when you have the flu, stick with a bland diet, and keep it light.

I had horrible nausea for most of my pregnancy, and I ate a lot of saltine crackers. My best friend also made me a chicken noodle soup with some ginger root in it. Ginger root is a natural remedy for nausea. Believe it or not, it really worked. I was able to eat it, which was nice.

Good luck!!

Keep smaller portions of food on your tummy. It helps ease the oversensation in your stomach. Also, keep some Saltines around to snack on, they're light and the salt helps. Gingersnaps are good too since ginger helps ease nausia. At night, keep a few crackers next to your bed and anytime you get up to go, eat a couple. This will help you if you have a lot of nausia in the morning. Best of luck!

If it's too severe, talk to your doctor about Zofran. Zofran is a powerful anti-nausea medication that has not been shown to cause harm to the fetus. If you can handle the nausea through crackers and decaf sodas, I would suggest it, though.

The Zofran's nice to have around, though, in the days where you just wish that you didn't feel like you were going to puke all day. Talk to your doctor, though. What was okay with my doctor may not be okay with yours.

I did the same thing with both of my pregnancies. The doctor can recommend phenogrin if it becomes to bad. Sickness is normal though. I would eat and vomit all the time. It got so bad i had to go to the dr to get the medicine.

The best thing that worked for me was Ginger Ale. Any type of ginger should help though, fresh, cookies or even ginger pills. I've also heard that eating smaller meals more often will help because it keeps your sugars regulated. Some women say that Coca-cola works for them. You can buy the caffeine free type. Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy & baby.

Vitamin B6 will do wonders I used it 4-6 times a day and it is very safe for the baby.

When I was pregnant, I drank tons of orange juice. And always kept saltine crackers handy. Personally, I think the best crackers to use are at Wendy's. I ate them every other day and was fine.
Hope this works for you!

Eat smaller meals. Snack size every few hours. Don't let your tummy empty completely. Don't drink alot of pop. It depletes your calcium levels. Try to stay away from alot of fatty foods.

Congratulations
