So I HATE HATE HATE my bikini line. It's horrible. I shave it and the next day have horrible ingrown hairs and i can't shave it again until it goes away days or weeks later. I am gettting married in a few months so I decided to make an appt for a wax. Any of you have this problem when shaving and then get better results with waxing?

I havent shaved in 4 years. I always get waxed. Waxing isnt going to solve your ingrown hair problem- i use one of those rough shower mits to exfoliate and that pretty much got rid of the ingrowns. The best thing about waxing- although it isnt the most pleasureable thing to go through- is that you only have to do it once a month. Yes you get hairy after a few weeks but its not prickly or stubly like when you shave. If I were you I would at least get waxed before my wedding so that you dont have to worry about shaving or stubble on your honeymoon! Congrats!!!

Shaving is really not good for down there.A wax gives you better results, but to achieve maximum results, exfoliate after a wax with a loofah sponge.

I shave it comletely. I used to be able to shave it like once a month because of razor burn. Then I moved up to once a week. Now, I do it once a day. It took years for me to be able to be "immune" to razor burn/ rash. But, it was worth it. Just work your way up to shaving more often. Wax might help. I've never tried it for that area.

I found that those exfoliation mitts really gave me a rash. I use bikini zone cream. You can find it at drugstores. I reccomend waxing. It hurts, but it's so worth it. The first time I did it was for my wedding, too!

if you want to get rid of that hair forever, and not grow again, then remove it with laser.
