It's not a matter of "becoming" open minded overnight. I think it takes a while, if you really feel like you need to become this... reading is a start. Try to read about things you haven't, talk to different people (specially the ones you thought you never would)... it's a whole process. I hope you get there.

Seriously though.....I'm not sure it's something you can work on....you either are or you're not.

You can work on appearing to be open minded, however.

That would be hard if you had not grown up that way. You would have to believe strongly that every one has a right to have an opinion and voice it and that what others do is okay, its their choice. And that is just to begin with. MOM
