Yes, it is possible. Just change the system of the government, to where the world doesnt revolve around money.

NO way to knock off poverty due to selfishness and greed. THEN there's overpopulation, THEN there's racism and nationalism. Then you have those who are apathetic towards people less off than them, believing that anyone poor or homeless is that way because of stupidity, not taking advantage of education and jobs, an dare just lazy and not worth helping.

Then you have the morons who ARE that way and ruin it for the poor and helpless that actually have legit reasons to be in that situation.

You can REDUCE the amount of poverty in the world...but as long as the world maintains such a selfish, independant and greedy mentality.....it's impossible to 'wipe' it out so to speak.

Someone once told me that if you took all the money in the world and divided amongst all peoples equally in less than 6 months you would have the rich, the poor and those in the middle. I'm not saying that the reason people are poor is because they don't know how to save money, there is just a definite distinction in people and how they handle money. So, I believe we will always have poverty.

Greed isnt the problem.Market forces and monetarism mean that no one really gets more than they deserve unless it is awarded by the state. The developed nations achieve their successes by this method and less developed nations should gradually aspire to these systems.
Excessive birthrates in third world countries are the root of poverty.
If the infrastructure of a developing nation is only capable of sustaining x number of citizens then controls should be put in place to ensure that the population doesnt exceed this.

It is very much possible in our Western society.
But the greedy top 10% of the population is preventing it because they want to keep making their millions.

If you are talking about the world...and particulary third world countries...no it is not possible. Those people need to educate themselve before we can seriously help them to make a difference.

Live Aid for Africa was total bullshit. It won't do anything.

The rate of kids dropping out of school needs to drop and the system of goverment handouts needs to be replaced with part time working then everyone contributes to society and has some money to spend.
At this rate the poor people who have no education, skills or a source of income have no chance they need training.

No, impossible. As poverty decreases more children in developing nations will survive to adulthood creating a population boom, inturn needing more resources to support it.

Education is a must. Children that are not cared for properly need to be removed permenantly from the home as infants and placed with permanant families who will nurture them. Beyond that, I dont know!
