This is their own preference and nothing wrong with it, if that is how they eat their food. Just because it's not how I would do it doesn't make it wrong or crazy. The internal temperature of chicken breast should be about 165 - at 160 it shouldn't be really pink. I would let it go to 165, but 160 isn't going to kill them. Steaks - that is just rare. My hubby likes that put on the grill about 2 minutes on each side and that's it. You are pretty safe eating a steak like that - the bacteria danger is when you eat ground meat that way, because of the grounding of the meat. A solid cut of steak is usually safe. Eggs - unless you are very young/old, pregnant, or have immunity problems, the risk of eating raw eggs is really low. That is just a soft sunny side up egg. Not my preference, but nothing wrong with eating it that way. Bacon - I would cook it longer though, but it is cured and smoked plus USDA Certified bacon means that it has been treated for trichinella (which is the main danger of eating raw pork). Honestly I would cook it that way for guest in my home if that is how they want it without any criticism of it, because they are guest in my home. I would just cook mine and my families the way I want.
