I have downloaded the free 10 days version but when i try to play it, the screen flashes acouple of times, it won.t start and says it couldn'd start the 3d acceleration and to make sure directx and drivers are up to date. I have updated my drivers and directx, but it still won't start and comes up with the same message.
Any ideas?

I should say its a laptop with a sis740 graphics thingy

It does sound like the graphics card is having trouble with the game. My laptop has a 256MB PCI Express, but does tend to over heat when playing the game. Still best make sure you have the min specs for the game, as it is graphics intensive.

It sounds like a graphic card problem. Make sure it meets the best requirements for the game, not just the minimum requirements.

your graphics card may not be compatible with the game i'm afraid i play a similar game and they did a graphics update last year had to buy a new graphics card to play

I can only think of messing with all the graphic setting (in the game) This never happend to me so I couldnt really tell you.

try re-downloading or getting the disks from a friend and install it from there, if not get a better graphics card/computor/laptop

your graphics card DOES meet the specifications yes? with T+L shading etc etc?
