I have never believed the war in Iraq was about oil.
I do believe, however, that if liberals supported the US, we could win and come home.

Because we don't want to drill in a national preserve, well some of us do. Also, Iraq has much more oil reserves than Alaska and an alliance with an oil based economy will help us yeild a better price on oil for our citizens.

Because of the "Not in my back Yard" Or "Lets Preserve Our Lands" Really its funny as since the Alaskan Pipeline came thru It actually helped the Numbers of Wildlife increase.
If they drilled in the Artic National Park from my understanding it would be during the Winter when there would be snow cover on so by spring all sign of travel would have vanished with the Spring thaw. And the Pumping would be from a single location with the Wells angled out in all directions instead of many locations affecting only a very small amount area...

No NO they r drillin the shiit out of alaska...they just found a whole oil field that was 50% the size of the one that they found in the first place.... oil was a big part of it. Plus bush sr. had probs there. Jr. wanted to finish it.

In Iraq, the oil is all ready to go. 500,000 barrels of oil go "missing" in Iraq every day, and on our watch. At least $30 million a day for over three years. Where do you suppose all that money goes?

We are but the pipeline in Alaska has multiple leaks in its miles and miles of pipes and has been shut down indefinitely since September I think, until they can fix it.
