First, Congratulations! It sounds like maybe he just wants an affirmation that you are still excited about the baby and that, emotionally, you're doing ok. You could tell him that you are very excited, emotionally overjoyed and anxious because you know this baby will be a beautiful representation of you both. In terms of REALLY answering that question, it's like someone is asking you to describe love, or joy or peace. They are not things that you can truly and accurately describe to someone because they have to be felt to understand them. Best wishes on your new family!

I personally feel a plethora of emotions being pregnant. I am proud to be giving life to another human being, anxious to see my beautiful baby, and also scared to be a parent again. It never gets any easier, no matter how many you have.
Not only will you think about the more immediate future of your child's life, but you also start to think about what their future might hold as they grow up.
Pregnany is a time of feeling overwhelmed yet so overjoyed. It's about the only time that it is normal to feel contradicting feelings. And even though your husband isn't referring to the physical aspects of pregnancy, those also go along with how you feel emotionally. As you start to get bigger, you might feel frustrated and upset because you become slightly hindered. Feeling the baby's movements are another thing, I cried when I first felt my daughter moving around, and now (@36 weeks) I am to the point where her movements cause more discomfort than anything!
Everything you feel during this time, the emotional and physical things you'll experience, are all intertwined. Maybe if you sat down and wrote out a list of things you feel, then it might help your husband to understand, and even you as well. It is hard to sort through all of those emotions! Good Luck!!

The most wonderful feeling in the world to be able to have a little baby growing inside of you . Being able to feel their kicks, and hiccups and having someone with you 24/7. I loved being pregnant most of the time until the end of my pregnancy. I also didn't care what people thought of me I had alot of confidence to just felt beautiful. One more thing i was reading what ginger cookie put which I miss so much about being pregnant is not able to feel them kicks any more.

It is not an easy emotion to describe. I feel elated and nervous and fragile and beautiful and scared and happy and overjoyed and anxious and more all rolled into one.
Yep, the physical part is easy!
I don't think doctor's could analyze the emotional part easily.

I had four kids and the feeling of carrying another human being inside of me made me feel special. It was like I was blessed by God to have this little being in me. I always liked the feeling when they started moving around. After I had my kids, that was the one thing that I missed. They were no longer connected to me physcially. I missed that.
