People here need to get with the times.
A 1670 on the new sat is the same as a 1110 on the old sat.
The average on the new SAT is 1550, so you're ahead of the game. If you can take the SAT again (which you can), and think you can boost your score, or think you need to boost it, do that. Your score isn't bad, but there are going to be people with much higher scores applying.
If your application is otherwise polished I think you can get in with a 1670, but if you want to retake the SAT go for it.

The recently revised the exam & made the writing section longer so the new perfect score is a 2400.
From UGA's website:
"For first-year admission, the University of Georgia requires that an applicant submit an official score report for either the ACT or the SAT I. Currently, we recommend (but do not require) students to submit SAT II scores. Scores must be submitted electronically by the respective testing agency. UGA will not accept scores that appear on your high school transcript, nor will we consider paper “Rush Reports.”
At UGA, the only minimum score requirements in place are the ones required by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia for admission to its four research universities: that is, an SAT-V of 430 and SAT-M of 400, or subscores of 17 on both the English and Math sections of the ACT. If a student takes the SAT or ACT more than once, we will consider the best scores we receive for each section on either exam."
Check out their admissions page on the second link

BobaB is right, but she left out the most important part. APPLY! and do it now for next school year. And if you dont get in then it wasn't meant to be find another school. I have a BS and can tell you that if you are going to college to learn, then any one will do it is you, not the college that makes a good graduate. If your looking to party UGA or Southern are good schools to attend. Just remember your College experience is just that YOURS.

I thought the highest score you could get was 1600? Did they change it or something...it's been awhile.
