Do you prefer stores that advertise as happy holidays?

Many people have forgotten or just plain do not care what the real meaning of christmas is. I could care less about stores that advertise as happy holidays, I know that it IS the birthday of Jesus Christ.

If we are Christians, we are not offended whether the stores use the word Christmas or only decorate for X-mas.

These are all worldly things. We are Christians because we follow Jesus Christ. We believe in cleaning our interior and not the exterior.

Stores showing Christmas signs or X-mas or Happy Holidays are all exterior things.

We would rather that we roll up and sleeves and feed the hungry, clothe the naked and warm the cold.
We would rather that we forgive those who have sinned against us and reconcile back.

We would rather die than to live, to suffer than to enjoy... less that is what God wills for us.

All that may His Holy will be done on earth.

I'm not Christian, and I'm not offended that some stores use the word Christmas or only decorate for X-mas. It's their freedom on how to decorate their stores.

I am an atheist and I like Christmas. It is one of the best secular holidays there is. However, I always wish people "Happy Holidays" because I'm not so arrogant as to assume the person I'm talking to celebrates the same holiday. There are several holidays celebrated this time of year including Hanukkah, Yule, Solstice, Christmas, and Kwanzaa. "Happy Holidays" is a more inclusive greeting. It covers them all.

I think that Christians who are offended by "Happy Holidays" are hypocritical, given that Christians, themselves, co-opted the holiday of earlier people. But they've never been a tolerant bunch, even when stealing other people's holidays.

If they do get offended it is their own fault. I do not care if anyone is offended my me or my business celebrating Christmas. I have the right to do that. I have the right not to decorate for every holiday that comes along.. in america people are so eager to say "that offends me" and sooner or later its a big deal and everyone has an opinion on it and them the media puts a few spins in there and just when you think its over some body gets sued... its a bunch of crap! let people decorate if they want, let them celebrate, what they want, and let them say what they want. we should not have to hold back to we are because we do not want to "offend people." if they want to see decorations for their celebrations, they can buy their own store, mall, town, whatever... take over wal-mart if you do not like what they have up. if you dont like it dont complain do somthing about it! its THEIR CHOICE TO BE OFFENDED!

Yes I do! Everyone makes such a fuss about Christmas but when it's our Diwali or Eid it's like no body notices or makes an effort to do something special for us! They don't even put Diwali or Eid as a public holiday but we are forced to sit home and do nothing on Christmas because most shops are closed!!

I'll pay anyone 100 bucks if they can offend me, why?
Because they would have successfully pointed out a weakness in my ability to see and understand reality. 100 bucks is cheap for that kind of information.

People pay thousands of dollars for therapist to do the same thing!

If you are easily offended, you are offending yourself the most.
perhaps one day you will value being an adult, and strive for such a goal.

I'm not offended, but it would be nicer if they put decorations for all holidays coinciding in that time.

I think we all know what holiday it's for. I don't get offended when it's advirtised as "merry christmas," However I do get offended when there are no "Happy Festivus" signs.
