Though it is filled with irony, I would have to say life itself.

My ultimate source of happiness is when I'm living out my passion for performing, whether that is singing, dancing, acting (just making other people have some kind of emotion/reaction within themselves). When I'm performing I'm not thinking. I enter a zone that is not bound by normal time and space constraints, it's what I would liken to the Buddhist idea of nirvana, or enlightenment. I'm the happiest because I'm not thinking, I'm just being. I truly feel that everyone should make it their highest goal in life to find out what their ultimate source of happiness is. Great question!!!

About 10 years ago in the month of September in Taddousac, Quebec, around 11 PM, I and a group of friends, while exiting a nice restaurant, noticed that the night was extraordinarily luminous. We gazed up in the skies and we saw a magnificent display of beauty and splendour beyond our wildest imagination. There must have been billions of stars as well as a full moon looking at us. It was truly an awesome sight ... and awesome is an understatement. Then, while driving along the Richelieu River, the scenery was even more spectacular with the moon reflecting on the waters below.

In Hull Quebec, after a rainy day, I saw another glorious sight ... a rainbow ... so big that hovered from one point of the city to the other side. I had seen rainbows before, but never one which gave me chills for its beauty.

In Florida, I saw a humongous tree, proudly standing over 50 feet tall, full of pink roses. I don't know its real name, but I named it the 'Rose Tree'. I have never forgotten its beauty ... even after 15 years.

In the Laurentian Mountains, I saw another breath-taking beauty. A gorgeous lake with crystal clear water surrounded by trees and mountains which were reflecting their enourmous beauty on the lake. White butterflies were quietly flying by, little birds were chirping away. A sight to behold.

So you asked what gives me happiness? Health of my family and looking at nature and its wonders.

Happiness for me exudes from my inner soul and therefore happiness is organically created with me. Some think this is a Buddhist point of view, which it may be. But I have come to realize this through observing others and practicing this in my own life. Happiness is derived from a persons ability to create it rather than create other more negative feelings that are easier for people to express. It seems like these days a lot of people are drawn toward the negative things in their life to focus on rather than focusing on the positive.
Outside forces that enhance my happiness are security in my relationships with family and close friends, having enough money to not worry about bills until next month, nice enough weather (and time) to play disc golf, getting 'lucky', going to a good concert, and being with others who have a good sense of humor.

i personally subscribe extremely to Denis Leary's concept that no human being's satisfied, it really is accessible in little bursts, yet happiness comes from some components: at the starting up, the conceited delight that you or your particular team of association is more desirable ideal than the different guy/adult males. it is large, and this is under no circumstances gonna supply up no remember what we do. Secondly, we get actual delight, in that there are issues that make us sense bodily reliable, be it sex, activity, an safely scratched beard, inspite of. Thirdly, textile happiness, in that the recent vehicle, settee, living house, or sum of money. i think it is pertaining to to Masellow's Hierarchy of desires, it is sensible, yet perchance it is only too constrained a definition of happiness. i imagine genuine happiness is a few thing you've attempt to maintain, more desirable of a journey as adverse to vacation spot type of a ingredient.

I am self employed and I am always worried, but I love my work and I am doing OK.
But when my 7 year old daughter comes back from school and sees me and says "daddy" and runs to my arms, I forget all worries, at least for that moment.
Moments with loved ones, sharing with them the good times going fishing at the lake or treaking up the mountain, it's energizing to keep going on on life.

For me these are two different questions. If I think of when I feel my most miserable etc faith and prayer and exercise gets me out of it

Sadly, what makes me most happy is the absence of abuse, the presence of the positive emotion and attention of others

love of a good person, children in your life (not necissarily your own) good friends, having your parents tell you finally that they are proud of you. a steak sandwich with a little A1. coke with lots of ice on a hot day. Having someone flirt with you, even if nothing comes of it. kicking your friends *** in a video game, especially if it was a hard match. Walking through a mall at christmas time and seeing a little girl approach santa, her eyes all big, and face full of wonder. Dang getting sentimental in my late 20's

Happiness comes from inside of you, as does anger. You have to decide to be happy otherwise you never will be. So, for me, happiness is how I've decided to feel.
