To look really sophisticated, go with a contrasting shoe color--but not black (or red). I love silver most with red, but I saw a really great combination on a young model recently........Bronze accessories and a bronze strappy shoe with a fire engine red outfit. Very fresh and modern. She wore several long beaded necklaces too and I think her dress or top was strapless as well. You're young--go funky and experiment! Have fun.

Silver or gold would be fine, whichever you prefer.

At 16, I'd keep it simple, fresh and on the smaller side.
You'll have your whole shoulder/neck area visible, so a necklace of some sort, and perhaps a bracelet. If you hair is going to be down I'd think more toward a collar type necklace that rides at the base of your throat that something dangley.

You want your dress and your accessories to draw attention to you, not themselves.

I'm personally a silver person, but gold does go extremely nice with red. If it's strapless, def wear a necklace, bracelet too.
If youre wearing your hair down, look for a simply bobby pin with some sort of diamonds or decoration on it and stick on the side or holding a small piece back, this way its still down but looks dressier.

You'd want to wear silver instead of gold.

Gold and red would look tacky, in my eyes.

Wear a simple silver necklace accented with a silver bracelet of the same pattern.

I know everyone will tell u silver.

But just think to yourself. red and silver?? that does not go!

A gold diamond necklace on a red dress will definately look great. I am not saying the 22 carat gold. the 14 or 18 carat gold is fine. and ofcourse it does not have to be a diamond necklace. it can be simple or with some ruby or white stones...anything..

I would also suggest a black necklace. However, gold is better. since you are going to a new years party.

I'd say silver, with gold your run a risk of clashing with red. And don't over do the accessories, it sounds like you will be stunning enough without detracting from that by too much jewellery. Less is more remember.

You can go for the obvious gold or sliver accessories, but try to experiment a little with different textures such as say animal prints like, lepoard print or even a zebra print purse or shoe for a bold contrast.Make it work for you,and once you find a style that works for you,Own it!

Silver would highlight the dress best. You could do really big and fancy silver earrings, or silver hoops with a simple necklace would look great.

upload-ons: Alls i'd do is placed on some chandelier rings with the dress. or perchance a necklace that lays above the dress, because you've those outstanding flora on the aspect of the dress, type of creating them their very own accent. So attempt to keep the upload-ons toned down, in case you opt to placed on both a necklace and rings, do a touch uncomplicated "diamond"/cubic zirconia studs and a bright necklace. Hair: i'd say only visit google and lookup "promenade hairstyles for medium hair" they have extremely a collection. For promenade, i'm doing my hair in a 0.5-updo and that i have medium length hair. footwear: Cheetah heels/wedges in case you opt to pass a touch on the wild aspect, or in case you opt to stay uncomplicated, some black heels/pumps would make your look classic! desire this helps! (:
