Personally, I couldn't do it but I think its acceptable only if the person who hunts or fishes actually eats what they catch. I know poor families who get a real financial break when they have a freezer full of game and don't have to buy meat for quite a while. On the other hand, I've seen dead deer rotting in the woods with arrows in them. I know a hunter who never eat what he catches, eventually the meat gets freezer burned and is discarded. I know fishermen who hate the taste of fish. I think its wasteful to hunt or fish just for the sport of it and not eat the meat.

Im against it, why? well okay...ill tell ya...because in today's modern society there is no reason to go and hunt and kill your own food. We have a huge industry that grows and makes food, there is no need to go and kill innocent animals for your own food.
Now, if you had no way to get food any other way, it would only be natural to hunt, then i suppose it would be ok. But its not right to go and hunt a turkey when you can just as easily go to the store and buy a turkey, raised for the sole purpose of becoming your xmas feast.

I am for hunting, trapping and fishing. My reason's are that with the current price of meat, it is much cheaper to shoot your own!! Seriously, I think hunting instills a strong respect of wildlife and nature in people. I also think that providing for yourself is an important life skill everyone should have.

I am definitely for hunting. It also helps to protect the balance in the wildlife and preserve the ecosystem. It frustrates me that people only think we are out there killing animals for fun. I hunt for only things I will consume. I wish that skeptics would take the Hunter's Safety course where they explain all the details of where our licensing fees go (protection of land and species) and especially the ethics portion!!! If you couldn't already tell, I am a female hunter....and proud of it!

If you're hunting because you need the food, then great. But there is really no need for it, when you can just walk your *** to the store and buy some meat. It costs less money than guns and comoflauge suspenders.

remeber there are two sides to this. Myself I dont like to hunt, but just think if the hunter didnt then there would be too many animals and they would starve. So I guess its ok, but still I dont like it. I also think that god put the aminals on this earth to help us live, but why did we have to make a lot of them go away forever.?

I am both pro and con. It hurts to see animals just get killed for fun. But on the other side I know it helps keep the population of animals pretty equal. Not to much or too little.

I am against it when it is done for sport.
However, if that was the only means for someone to get food, then I am for it.
I do not see the logic in killing animals for bragging rights.
