I live in a house with my father, mother and brother. My mother is alright with me piercing my ear, but my dad is not. My dad is convinced that I do not deserve it, but once again, mom's fine, should or shouldn't I?

Talk calmly to your father. Ask your mom to talk to your dad for you.
And do NOT self-pierce your ears, whatever you do. That is the easiest way to infect your ears. Something horrid could happen to your ears, and you'd give your dad the excuse to say "I told you so."

I'm not sure that you could do it on your own, but if you have a friend who is willing to help you can do it. My mother pierced my ears, and several other people's. You will need to numb your ear lobe first. Either by freezing it with an ice cube, or pinching it between a spring-loaded clothespin. Then, using a large sewing needle, and your ear lobe placed with a bar of soap behind it, pierce the ear. pulling the needle all the way through. Immediately put in an earring. You will need to sponge the area, with the earring still in, with alcohol on a cotton ball. Do this several times a day, for a couple of weeks. Be sure to twist the earring around in the piercing hole many times a day, to help in the healing. It will still hurt to do it yourself, but it can be done, and quite successfully!

Ask your dad how you can deserve it. If you pierce it yourself, you'll just get infected and convince your dad that you really don't deserve it.

If your dad feels strongly enough to say don't do it just yet. I think you should listen to whether or not he has good enough reasoning for his decision. Discuss with him your side and he should understand. Maybe he wants it to be done professionally if at all. Just talk to him.

No - you should respect your parent's wishes even if they do disagree. He may come around in time but if he doesn't then you can always do get it pierced when you move out.
