I think air in the line, sometimes there is like a rubber ring like stopper you can put in where garbage disposal hooks up that will lower the noise coming out of there. also a friend used that insulation spray around that area under the sink that helped, it is crazy though huh? like its hungry ha! ha!
Merry christmas!

All plumbing systems need a vent to relive pressure. Look at it like it were a straw in a drink, if you place your finger over the end and raise the straw will remain full of liquid. If you take your finger off the liquid will fall out of the straw. The same is happening in your sink. Something is causing a blockage of the air and the trap under the sink is being sucked out as the water flows through drains. When water flows down a vertical pipe it actually makes an umbrella shape and sticks to the walls of the pipe. this creates a vacume behind the falling water that sucks air and water. If the vent is blocked it will create negative pressure and suck the water from the trap.

A gurgling noise is made because there is not enough water in the trap. If the bend in the trap isn't completely full, air will come through and that's why you hear the noise. To correct it, just add a small amount of water to the drain so the trap is full. You could also add 1/4 c of vegetable oil.
