You can pick up the book, "The Taming of the Shrew" in most bookstores in their literature section. If they don't have the stand-alone play, then it will also be in any complete works of William Shakespeare. I recommend the individual book because they usually have a "translation," meaning that each page of the play is accompanied by a page of modern english and will have common day equivalents for the more obscure terminology used in the play; explaining why a certain phrase would have been considered humorous in Shakespeare's time, for example.

If you don't want to pay for the book, you can also go here:

It's a link to a complete text of the play, and in each section is a link to a study guide that completely explains what it is that you just read.
Hope this helps!

Look in any of the complete works of William Shakespeare. He is the author. The reason it is hard to understand is because he wrote in what they call "Old English". It's actually not hard to understand if you take the time to read it and get used to it.

actually, Shakespeare wrote in what is called Early Modern English. Old English is what the Anglo-Saxon's spoke and wrote in. This form can be found in Beowulf.

You can find the complete works of Shakespeare here:

get the complete works of William Shakespeare and read it there, but the story has been made in to other movies, one of my favorites is MC Clintok, with John Wayne, same story just modified to fit in the western theme.

you aren't going to be able to get the script to the movie. I would how ever look up the abridged version on line it's the closest you'll get to the movie probably.
