The little I know of deontology says that under that philosophy, the rule must be capable of being made universal, and must be such that rational people would accept it in all circumstances, so that it would always be right, regardless of the consequences. If this is correct, I cannot see any way for a rule that abortion is permissible in all circumstances could be accepted by all rational people as a moral rule. After all, abortion in some circumstances could involve killing a living foetus. Thus I believe deontology could not support or justify abortion. Conversely, I can see that deontology could justify prohibiting abortion, because I can see where rational people, disregarding the consequences in particular circumstances, could subscribe to a duty not to kill other humans, including foetuses.

I guess that if you went along with the deontological theory then you would have to say that, as you're killing something/someone, there is no justification. I have to say that that's not my view, but in relation to deontology I would find it hard to find a justification. I'm a consequentialist though so in my view there's plenty of justification.

deontologically speaking (what does this word mean?), I would say u shouldn't bring unwanted babies into the world, adoption may be possible but many women couldn't separate when the crunch came - babies might then be classed as 'wanted' but the situations are still probably unsuited - unborn is better than born to suffer.

I agree with "Happytalking". Unborn is better than born to suffer. Take precautions. Prevention always better than cure.

Woo - tricky one. I suppose it all comes down to your view of the moral status of the foetus.
I found this essay - it might help:

No justification... we make it justified to suit our convenience.
