I am a vet tech student, and for some reason i always hear that the nursing students in my college dont like vet tech students...we learn basically the same exact things...becuase after all...a vet tech is pretty much the same as a nurse..for animals...what do you think...why dont nurses like us?

I am a nursing student and I don't have a problem with any other vet/nursing student. Maybe the school where you attend has a long standing rivalry? Any way don't let this bother you, its not worth it. Good luck with your studies.

I think that's nuts. Most nurses are delighted with anyone who's into nursing-type things. I know this, because most women in my family (plus my dad) are nurses, I'm a CNA , and I'm around other nurses a lot. If some specific nurses are looking down on vet techs, it is probably because they are hearing stories about animals being abused.

Why do you care what other petty people think of you? Bad way to spend your life. If other people think badly of you, that is their problem, not yours.
