Oh gosh...another AC addict. I have worked with far too many of them over the years, and as a result, have caught far too many colds. I would suggest telling your boss that you need a different work space, if at all possible. Keep the personal details out of it about her personality. Just say you would be more productive with in a quieter environment where you aren't freezing your butt off. Good luck to you...I've been there before.

Unfortunately, the workplace is not a democrasy...you have to put up with all your co-workers or get yourself another job. I have been in similar circumstances where I worked next to a girl who worked for a totally different department but her behaviour was unbearable.. Her moods were unbelievable.. I have also worked with very very moody blokes as well, but you just have to put up with it in the hope that one of you gets another job... In the case I mentioned, the moody girl got a new job and the relief was enormous especially when someone really friendly started working at the vacant desk.
I do like the idea of stapling her to the noticeboard, but it would only make you laugh until you got sacked. Some of the other suggestions posted ahere are a bit low and are suggested no doubt, by people who wouldn't say boo to a goose...
In the short term, you will find life far more bearable if you work on being nice to her (I know it's not what you want to hear) whilst working on your escape plan....
Failing that, I am sure that if you superglued her to her chair (preferably swivel-type) and set fire to her clothing whilst spinning her around the office, will definitely shut her up (after the screaming of course)

Wait until the middle of winter, leave her in the office, staple the doors shut instead of her to the notice board, and turn the air con on to full frost, then go sick for two days before coming back. I think this will do the trick.
Failing that go talk to your boss and see if you can get moved; this might be the less problematical route in the long term unless you like solitary confinement

How long have you been there compared to your co-worker? If you are the start up - unless you are brilliant at what you do then no chance! Otherwise speak to your supervisor and ask if it would be possible to swap offices etc - but you won't know what you are getting into until you move - you could end up with someone a lot worse! you have been warned

Try balancing a bucket of acid on top of the door before she comes in.
Not only will you be able to witness the entertaining spectacle of her shouting "I'm melting, I'm melting!" but all evidence will also be removed.
You'll also be able to enjoy the irony when they sack her in her absence for not turning up to work.
Have fun!

When no-one is looking, put a fish (dead mackeral or something) in the air con vent. Wear gloves.
Be polite, and offer to make tea/coffee for her. Spit or urinate in it.

Start a whispering campaign about her private life. Usually works - it has even brought down the powerful and famous.

sexual harassment suit against her. inform your boss that she has been making lewd suggestions to you. then if they say they will give her a warning wait a few weeks and tell them that she has pinched your bum or something else fairly innocuous. that should so the trick. try to get a co-conspirator to say they witnessed the bottom pinching. that should do the trick.
