We have the papasan and absolutely love it. The kids (we have twins) were both very comfortable in it, and didn't really stop enjoying it until they were too big/too mobile for it to be safe anymore. It was very easy to switch back and forth between side to side swinging and front/back swinging. Personally, I really preferred the aesthetics of the papasan -- with babies, you often end up with SO many different busy patterns and toys and colors, it was really, really nice to have something calm and soothing. We did the aquarium design for the bouncy seat, so we had both designs anyway. But the swing is so big...it's just nice not to have it be loud and busy (after all, you're going to be looking at it a lot!). Also, it cleaned VERY well and easily.
Good luck with your baby!

I havent had both (returned the papasan before opening it for reasons below) but i was sooo cinfused and read somuch into reviews haha...this is what i get out of it. are u talking about the portable swing or the normal big one. i have the portable ocean wonders and i loved it.
ocean wonders - great swing. if space is an issue, (it was for me i felt i had so much stuff, and wanted to be able to take the swing to grandmas or friends, so i got the portable...that way i also kept her on the kitchen counter at times while i was doing things and could easily take to places)
Papasan - super great swing, babies love it its so comfy....i dont know if its any better than the ocean wonders i really think any aby like any rokcing and dont care where they are rocked, but i did read it uses a LOT of batteries. be prepared to be buying lots of batteries they can end up being expensive. my friend has a papasan and shes going through batteries a lot.
hope that helps

We have the Papasan swing and the Ocean Wonders bouncer and my daughter loves both.
If you want the Ocean Wonders buy it soon because Fisher Price is discontinuing that line.

Definately the Ocean Wonders. The Papisan one the spinny things stick out to the side, so they are hard for baby to see. If you kind of look into them from the baby's point of view, the ocean wonders has way more for them to look at. Where the papisan has a mirror, the ocean wonders has a little aquarium. Also, the fish hang down for the baby to see instead of the dancing leaves sticking out to the side.

Ocean Wonders has been great for our baby. She took to it the day we brought her home from the hospital and has had many 3 hour naps in it since then. I just wish she would have fit in it longer. She's a big baby and started getting uncomfortable in it during her 4th month. But really, you will be very happy with the O.W.

We have both swings as we have twins :)
We really like both of them but the papasan is definitely more comfortable as the ocean wonder seat is a bit narrow so my girls are starting to grow out of it already. As for entertainment value, I think my girls like both equally as they always seem so entranced by them.
there is a new cradle swing from fisher price that looks really interesting too.

Ocean Wonders all the way... my son loved it and because he was born small I was able to use it until he was close to 9 months. However, I do suggest some rechargeable D batteries because it can get pretty expensive if you use the globe and mobile alot.

I had the ocean wonders and we LOVED it. I actually got to shower. My son LOVED being in his swing. He slept in it most nights until he was too big to use it.

I would consider fisher price's new rain forest line that seems cute but even better it can be plugged in to save batteries!!!! It does still however have the battery option. Good luck!
