The best way to erase all your computer's files is to format the hard drive. Be aware though, that it is almost impossible to delete files 100%, so if you want to completely get rid of confidential files, the only totally secure way is to smash the hard drive with a hammer. I'm serious! When you tell a computer to delete a file, all it does is forget where the file is and that it exists. It is possible to get programs that will recover deleted files. However, a program called spybot search and destroy has a secure file deleter in it. That makes it very difficult to restore deleted files. If you just want to reinstall your operating system though, use the cd that came with your computer.

If you mean you want to erase Everything on the computer, then you can use your windows installation cd to do the job. You can first delete all existing partitions, then create new ones and format them, after that you can proceed with a fresh installation.

Make sure you really want to wipe your disks. You will not be able to recover them after using these apps.
