If he celebrates Christmas I'd write something like:

Merry Christmas

Just write his name on top, 'Hope you enjoy the Holidays' under the verus and your name at the bottom!

And if you don't want to put his name on there just leave it off.

Just write his name at the top, write "I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and Joyous New Year" and sign your name. Hope that helps!
