People like you are addicted.
That's not an insult , cause I am too.
Will it lose fans? Yes.
Question is will it lose enough fans for ABC to pull it.
We will see what the # look like in Feb.
If there is a next season and they do the same thing again, I bet it won't last.

They will NOT lose fans because of the break.
They WILL lose fans because of:
1. Changing it from 9pm showing to a 10pm showing.
2. Over 50 Lost Loose Ends and they keep adding more.
3. Having 62 minute shows when they can either take out two minutes of commercials, or take out two minutes of Sawyer and Kate going at it. (This isn't Lost Days of our Lives yaknow).
But no, I like the fact they are going to have all new episodes when they come back, instead of how inconsistent they were in Season Two. That won't lose people IMO.

I think they are endangering themselves by having this huge gap...however, it could lead to more fans because now people have time to watch seasons 1 and 2 and get updates on the Internet, but most likely, they will lose fans.
The good thing about American Television, is that we do have 22-24 episodes per season, unlike the british guy that says british television is better because they have 6 1/2 programs...I mean how much development can you have in 6 episodes?

I stopped watching about a year ago when they took a similar (although I don't think as long) break. Once I got out of the routine of watching it, the drama kind of died and I lost the "got to see it" feeling. Plus, once I missed an episode or two I kind of felt like if I started watching it again I'd be "Lost" so to speak. I enjoyed watching it for the first season or so.

Lost has already lost fans. The first season was GREAT, the second season so-so, the third not worth watching, and I won't bother waiting for or viewing the fourth season.

you know in the UK we have what's called a series, which is six half hour episodes of a program, which is much more civilised than having 24 per 'season' Americans are barmy
will Lost ever end?

TV, as a whole, seems to be moving to not one long season, but two mini-seasons now. Many shows are promoting "fall finales".

Everyone wants to know what's really going on in there but it's a letdown when you watch it. Just keeps us guessing.

I think they are going to start losing viewers unless they start spilling the beans, and fast!

they did this last year too, if you remember. And it's not just that show, lots of other ones they do that with too.
