Children should NOT have children. They are not emotionally prepared, let alone financially prepared. The best option would have been not getting pregnant, which science has figured out how to accomplish, or ending the pregnancy early. The can of worms you are opening is not going to end up looking very good on your platter.

I find that men are generally uncomfortable with change. I know several who have been unable to cope with having to change and take more responsibility when a child is born into the family. They think they can carry on as they were without lending an extra hand to their partners after the birth.

I would start trying a wake up call now and try to let him know that it's going to be hard work for both of you after the baby's born. Good luck.

He is still a kid and not mature I doubt if he is gonna change once the baby comes he is too young. I hate to sound too cold hearted and upset you but in reality you are probably gonna be raising this baby by yourself because when prom comes and graduation he is gonna be doing kid stuff. You should just be concerned about your health and the baby because he is not gonna be around have you heard that saying out of sight out of mind? well he is denying the fact that he has a baby on the way. bet it won't be too long before he starts denying he is the father.

Its because he is still a baby himself! Jesus having a baby at that age would screw up any guy! he should be playing football and playing on his X-box not raising a kid!

I understand that accidents happen! and Am proud of the guy for standing by you! lets face it most lads would have run a mile in the other direction! Give him a break, bet the first time he see's it he will change in an instant!

Hope it all works out for you

He's probably too immature to handle this. I don't blame him, at your ages, it's hard to want to be a grown up so fast.

I don't think he's going to change once the baby comes, and I definitely would not expect him to. In fact, you should be thinking about how you're going to raise the baby alone.

I know you don't want to hear all of that, but it's the sad truth, common to most teenage pregnancies.

You're both so young! Both of your lives are going to change! If he feels this way now, it'll either stay the same or get worse! But by some miracle, he could look at the baby for the first time and know what love really is!

My husband is the same way, he always has been. Until he can be an active part in the baby's life it's not "real" to him like it is to you. Don't worry, once the baby is born you won't be able to keep him away. Good luck and congrats!
