You like that bi*th is an oxymoron.
I would think it would be a good idea to live life one day at a time. Picking a winning ticket for 23 months from now will make no difference if in the meantime we end up with a nationwide vote counting system that can easily be rigged & can't be verified. Listen to the geeks on this one. The make their living at this kind of stuff. And Diebold has made no secret of favoring the GOP. At least with the chads of 2000, there was a paper trail that made an accurate recount possible. I suggest we pay attention & deal with events occurring right now.

I would have to say no simply because Edwards does not have the juice to win the next national campaign. Barak Obama will bring what is needed to the ticket and I think someone like Al Gore would be better suited. He has the age and the experience people want, plus he is a Southerner. Coupled with a young energetic VP that would be the best chance of Democrats taking the White house.
From a totally idealistic perspective I would Want a Feingold/Obabma ticket because I think they are a few politicians who are more concerned with what they believe in and less concerned with pandering, but that would have no chance.
Sad but true.

An Edwards/Obama ticket would be a disaster for the Democratic Party. I live in the country, and racism is still alive and well here; no matter how hard the mainstream media try to shove him down our throats, there is no way that middle america is prepared to vote for a black man on a presidential ticket. Just look at the disaster of Jesse Jackson's campaign.

I agree that Obama would be better suited to the vice presidency right now; people think he's too green. Also, as VP, the closeminded people could get over his skin color and middle name a bit. I can't remember much about Edwards, but I will be looking into him a little more. From what you've said it sounds like he's an ideal choice though.

The most Obama has going for him is his speaking ability and his race. I have not really been impressed with him at all.
I do think though that having him on the ticket as vice-president would help whomever is running. I would sure like that to be Al Gore.
Hillary may have some tricks up her sleeve but she has some major hurdles to overcome. First she is a woman and second the conservatives can't stand her to the point of insanity and rage. Mainly because she had the gall to be something other than a housewife type first lady. She actually wanted to part of the policy making process. What nerve.

No. The democrats should pick someone who is electable. If the voters want to vote for the guys who are running against the republicans like they did this year, they will win back the white house unless someone who is unelectable becomes their candidate. Edwards proved he cant win in 2004, You cant expect white people to vote for a black man who is the son of a muslim. A democrat governor who did a good job of running his state would win.

Barack Hussein Obama, no way, his father is a muslim. Middle America wants NONE of that. And you put Edwards up against McCain and he'll look like he did when he debated Cheney...like a little kid in trouble at the principal's office.

Ideally, it would be good but realistically is not going to work. Obama is too inexperienced and Edwards has the reputation as an ambulance chaser.

i like both Edwards and Obama..... but i think it may be 4 or 8 years early for either of them to legitimately compete for the white house.......
and as far as those that hate Clinton....... they would never vote democrat anyways..... so i don't think that should be a factor.... Hillary is brilliant and has the most qualified "husband" in the world for a first husband!!!!!!
