its not strange, though perhaps not common, and yes its a sign of his love for her,,, how important she is to him,,, and that he wants to provide for her,

Not necessarily, many states honor comman law marriage if living atleast 7 years together & share equel exspenses but my state does not honor this, & had a freind of mine, a couple actually whos boyfreind passed of over 10 years of being together, got nothing & lossed everything, there homes, cars, ect, & had to pay funeral exspenses, because there was nothing in writing & they were never married truly sad. Too me its not a matter of true love, its a matter of respect that the other should not be left holding the baggage should something trajic such as losing someone happen.

Either that, or a sign that he's stupid, or she's put him under some pressure to include her in the will. You can bet if the estate's significant, his children will fight her inclusion BIG TIME. A better sign of how much a man loves a woman is when he marries her. That will also take care of any estate battles, since many states have community property laws between husbands and wives.

Marriage is and has always been an honorable union. In spite of the same sex people attempt to distroy it from within and without.

How many times are you going to ask this question? Are you not getting the answer that you want, or are you obsessing? Go on to something else. Sorry to be harsh.
